The following excerpt is from the first page from the Cold Spring cemetery register.

      "The record of interments up to 1886 are irregular and imperfect. The friends of deceased neglected to fill out the certificates provided for such records. Some of the records entered were taken from inscriptions on monumental stones, others were obtained from the undertaker and records of the Town Clerk. The entries up to 1886 were written in this book in 1886.
